I have been helping homebuyers and sellers in my hometown of Northbrook and the surrounding North Shore communities since 1988. My real estate practice is affiliated with the Glenbrook office of Baird & Warner, the real estate brokerage that has been an integral part of Chicagoland since 1855. I love being part of a family owned brokerage with a history of stability, integrity, innovation, and top-notch customer service. This is the perfect fit for the way I run my real estate practice giving me the best tools, resources, and support in servicing my client’s needs at the highest levels. Baird & Warner is currently ranked in the top 25 brokerages nationally for both units sold and total dollar volume sold. In addition it is a founding member of Leading Real Estate Companies of the World with connections all over the United State and the globe allowing me to serve all your real estate needs locally, nationally, and internationally. Baird & Warner is big enough to matter as a company but small enough to assure that. all of my clients matter. I’ve been a Northbrook resident since 1971, raising my two children here and beginning my professional career as the director of the Northbrook Senior Center. In addition, I am very active in community organizations such as: Founding board member of Crestwood Place, Northbrook’s residence for senior citizens, and an active member of Northbrook’s St. Norbert Church.

EDUCATION: My bachelor’s degree in Social Work is from Mundelein College, now part of Loyola University of Chicago. I have stayed current with the latest developments in the real estate profession with frequent attendance at professional seminars and conferences. Keeping up with the technology that has changed the face of the real estate industry in the past few years is one of my highest priorities.
ROOTS: I was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, where my family remains active in business today. I met my husband Dennis while he was an officer in the U.S. Navy. We often return to vacation in the Ponte Vedra and Sarasota areas.

Our daughter, Kati, is the mother of three girls—Lisa, Leia and Ava—and our son Don and his wife Monica who live in northern Virginia have three children—Julia, Joel and Jane. When I’m not working for my clients, I love spending time with my grandkids.

BUSINESS PHILOSOPHY: Although I embrace technology and all the current marketing methods and customer service tools I pledge never to lose that “Personal Touch.” I do this not just because it is good business practice; I truly enjoy working with people, no matter what their needs.
“When I help you buy or sell your home, I always have your best interests at heart. I regard real estate sales as a profession that requires principled behavior. But wanting to serve you goes well beyond adherence to the Realtor® code of ethics or Illinois license law. Negotiating the best deal possible or finding your dream home is what I enjoy doing. I take great pride in satisfying your housing needs and financial requirements and in making one of your life's most important decisions less complicated and more transparent. For me, representing you is personal—as personal as if I were doing it for a great friend. The pleasure you feel when your real estate dreams and goals are met smoothly and efficiently is what satisfies me.” Barbara Byrne
